About GO!PHA
Our mission is to accelerate the proliferation of PHA and other natural materials that are renewable and sustainable and enable the transition to a Circular Economy.
Who we are
The Global Organization for PHA (GO!PHA) comprises a coalition of over 60 stakeholders that include material producers, brand owners, academia, waste management organizations, innovative materials start-ups, environmental foundations, and individuals, including the co-founders that wish to drive our economy towards sustainability, circular economy that uses pollution-free alternative (to plastics) solutions in materials for packaging, single-use, and durable applications.
GO!PHA drives change. We form a highly motivated coalition with the influence and ambition to set a new course for the global industry. We accelerate the adoption of innovative materials with the potential to benefit the planet and people.
GO!PHA is a global and action-oriented coalition of stakeholders – corporations, start-ups, non-profits, investors and benefactors – engaged in driving sustainability and a circular economy in the plastics industry and its downstream market applications.
What we do
Advocacy
We engage key stakeholders and PHA experts to inform global and local regulatory and legislative bodies and to proliferate the adoption of PHA polymers. We pro-actively disseminate the benefits of PHA polymers to different industries and the consumer.
Knowledge and Education
We act as a hub for disseminating consolidated knowledge on PHAs and other natural materials. We host or lead sessions in global conferences, information sessions and other tailored events for sharing knowledge among PHA stakeholders. We provide in-house workshops and online webinars.
Programs
We develop and facilitate several programs to generate data and broaden our understanding of materials that do not create persistent microplastics and are recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable.
