GO!PHA highlights the need to embed science and innovation in global ocean policy to address plastic pollution and support SDG 14. Oceans are vital for climate, biodiversity, and economies, yet increasingly threatened by persistent plastic waste.

Nature-based materials such as PHAs, seaweed, and cellulose offer viable alternatives to reduce pollution and fossil dependence, while creating new economic opportunities.
